ELECTRIC

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Electric Land Acknowledgement is a groundbreaking, high-energy performance that transforms traditional land acknowledgments into immersive, live experiences that blend Indigenous hoop dance with contemporary electronic music. Designed to tour music, arts, and cultural festivals across Canada, this project redefines cultural storytelling in festival spaces, making reconciliation a dynamic and engaging part of public performances.

By fusing Indigenous dance, electronic beats, and visual storytelling, Electric Land Acknowledgement honours the land, its history, and the people who have stewarded it for generations. This production is designed to be more than just a performance—it is a transformative cultural experience that invites audiences to witness, engage, and celebrateIndigenous artistry in a powerful and electrifying way.

MISSION

To transform land acknowledgment into a living, breathing experience, using music, movement, and storytelling to foster deep connection, cultural recognition, and collective grounding. Through this performance, we aim to engage, educate, and inspire festival audiences, highlighting Indigenous artistry, resilience, and the sacred relationship between people, land, and spirit.

VISION

To establish Electric Land Acknowledgement as a catalyst for cultural awareness and unity, ensuring that land acknowledgments are not just spoken words, but felt experiences. We envision a future where festival spaces serve as platforms for Indigenous expression, where audiences leave not just entertained, but deeply moved—reaffirming their responsibility to the land, its history, and the interconnectedness of all beings.

HEALING HOOPS

Healing Hoops is a soulful, daytime performance that brings the traditional healing power of Indigenous hoop dance to cultural festivals, arts festivals, family events, Indigenous organizations, and opening ceremonies across Canada. Rooted in the sacred practice of hoop dance—a tradition passed down through generations to mend spirit and community—this offering weaves gentle storytelling, fluid movement, and vibrant hoops into an accessible, uplifting experience tailored for all ages.

By blending the rhythmic grace of hoop dance with soft, natural soundscapes, Healing Hoops honors the land, its ancestors, and the resilience of Indigenous peoples. This is more than a performance—it’s a restorative cultural moment that invites audiences to pause, reflect, and heal, celebrating Indigenous artistry in a warm, inclusive way that resonates from morning gatherings to ceremonial openings.

MISSION

To share hoop dance as a healing journey, using movement and story to nurture connection, renewal, and cultural pride. Through this performance, I aim to welcome, teach, and uplift diverse audiences—families, communities, and organizations—shining a light on Indigenous traditions, strength, and the timeless bond between people, land, and spirit.

VISION

To establish Healing Hoops as a beacon of cultural healing and unity, travelling across Canada and the world into spaces of restoration where hoop dance’s traditional roots are felt, not just seen. I envision a future where cultural and family gatherings become platforms for Indigenous joy, leaving audiences inspired and renewed, with a deeper sense of shared responsibility to each other and the earth.
